Hughsie FC has over 100 players signed up to wear the shirt across 3 teams and raise funds for charities.
What is Mustard Custard?
Adam Hughes was on a Stag Do in Newcastle at the GreyHound Track
Our package included a sit down meal. During the ‘sweet’ part of the menus Adam was “challenged” to mix and eat a whole bowl of custard mixed with mustard
He does the necessary challenge for the measly sum of £1 and even licks the bowl clean.
We then, being the thoughtful types, proceed to provide him Mustard Custard bowls before Sunday match games. These were consumed by Hughsie as a perk him up from his usual hangover.
The term Mustard Custard has been a big part in memory of Adam and was the inspiration behind our infamous club logo
How many charities have supported?
To date we have supported 11 different charities in addition to our main focus SADS UK.
Can I join the club?
Hughsie FC are no ordinary football club. We play football for the love of the game and to raise money and awareness for good causes. We currently have an 8aside over 35s team and 11aside team that play regular fixtures. We are looking to launch more teams so will have more spaces to play for all ages both men and women. Can I join the committee and officials group?
We appreciate any offer of help to support us running the team. Officials can be voted in at each of the clubs quarterly AGMs. Please contact us for details.
I am a business can we help with sponsorship?
Yes absolutely. We are a non profit organisation set up purely to support charities and community groups. Any work we do as a club is voluntary so any support around kit, equipment, charity donations etc is a huge help and massively appreciated.
