Over 35 League squad
Phil Skayman
Gaffer, Defender
Founder and Gaffer. Played over 550 games for the club in all formats. Loves a shit throw and a tackle. Big lump of a man. Easily distracted by alcohol and happy to hug.
Andy Collip
Defender
A Wellingore player for 15 years and played alongside Adam Hughes for many a season. Still kicking people up in the air when the ref isn't looking. Never booked, but nobody knows why (??)
Danny Grice
Defender
Great bunch of lads and the fact it’s all done in memory of one of their mates. The money raised for charity’s by people that most likely wouldn’t still be playing football is also a added bonus. Football being played for all the right reasons win, lose or draw.
Danny Taylor
Midfield
A great bunch of lads, a great cause, keeps me (occasionally) playing the sport I love
Adi Dales
Midfield, Forward
It’s an honour and privilege to represent Hughsie FC . It’s great to raise money for charity playing the game we love with a fantastic set of people.
Adam Cropper
Goalkeeper
It's great to see the boys! Get together for a great cause and to remember Adam. Have a laugh win, lose or draw and stay in touch. #footballfamily
Jamie Hallam
Defender
As one of the original Hughsie/Dunholme it was important for us to carry on the memory of Adam for us as a team , for Adam and his family. I am glad and proud that after 13 years we are still going and still representing Adam and the charity family and long may it continue.
Matt Bond
Defender, Midfield
Having played alongside Adam since the age of 11, it is a huge privilege to be part of a team dedicated to his great name.
It's an honour each time I pull on the Hughsie FC shirt to ensure his memory lives on in such a positive way whilst also raising awareness of SADS UK. Sharing the dressing room with this footballing family is always something I look forward to doing.

I’ve been in every stage of Hughsie FC and I’m proud to say that. Phil has done an amazing job of keeping this going and now raising so much money for good causes. I’ve seen first hand the response from our efforts and makes me proud to have been involved. Lucky enough to captain the team and happy that we have such a great list of players that still turn out for us after all these years! Commitment, sportsmanship and loyalty never an issue with us, ability sometimes but we have fun doing it!!!
Hopefully I can be involved for a bit longer!
Craig Percival
Forward
I've played with the original Hughsie lads for over 20 years now. AH was a great lad, player and captain. I love continuing to play for the team in his memory.
Wayne Greaves
Goalkeeper, Defender
I've been around from the start of Hughsie FC, as a referee to begin with and occasional player. I played with a lot of the players at Dunholme FC and love representing the team when I'm available.
Jim Holland
Defender
I initially started playing with Adam Hughes in our school team under 12's - in-fact, he kept me out of the team!
In future years, 2002/03 season I joined Wellingore AFC alongside the likes of Phil Skayman, and I somehow persuaded Adam, now at university in Sheffield, that it was a great idea to drive back to Lincoln each Sunday hungover to play football with us - he established himself in his legendary status as our team captain.
Following the boys onto Dunholme FC & later in honour of our dear friend (one of a kind) our founder Phil Skayman created Hughsie FC and has worked his socks off to keep the memory of Adam going and raising significant funds over the years for the SADs charity.
Seen some sights over the years with Adam and his crazy 'can do' attitude including his legendary bet on my brother's stag do to mix a pot of mustard in with his custard pudding at Gateshead dog track in 2007 was a prime example of the legend.
These days I am a bit part player, when not injured or too fat / unfit. But an OG (in more than one sense!)
Gone, but often remembered - AH x
Matt Hardwicke
Defender, Midfield
From my early playing days at Dunholme FC I knew what it meant to play in Adam’s memory. I loved every minute of that team and grew great friendships that I still have now and it was a pleasure to be asked to start playing for Hughsie FC in both over 35’s and 11 a side. Every time the shirt was worn back then or now as Hughsie FC, there is a purpose and it’s great to be able to be a very small part of it and support Phil, Jamie and others to achieve its key mission. Up the Hughsie!
